Canada favourite NetEnt sacks CEO for "new driving force"
With change comes a swell of excitement for what could come next, particularly when it comes to new games
Net Entertainment has decided to sack its CEO, Per Eriksson. A lapse in overall performance from the NetEnt Group under Eriksson was given as the reason for his departure. NetEnt has developed well over the years. However, NetEnt now desires a new driving force to increase the focus on growth.
NetEnt casinos are among the most popular in Canada. One of the reasons behind their high-rating reviews is the incredible games provided by NetEnt. This change is exciting for the players of Canada. It could very well mean more innovative games for casinos in Canada.
Need to reverse the trend
Many NetEnt moves resulted in its bottom line being affected. The growth-enabling investments focused on better sales and product organization. These investments included a bigger live casino offering and relocating to Malta. NetEnt was also forced to leave the Czech Republic, Poland, and Australia. These departures were due to new gambling restrictions in the nations.
To reverse these negative trends, NetEnt is now seeking a new driving force. NetEnt wants to put more focus on growth. The brand believes that it still has great value creation potential. With Eriksson gone, NetEnt will need a new CEO who embodies this driving force. For now, Therese Hillman will be acting CEO. She will also remain as Net Entertainment’s CFO.
More great games to come
In 2018, NetEnt has released many great games. Players in Canada have responded very positively to the latest creations. Archangels: Salvation is both innovative and entertaining in its play. Hotline recently hit NetEnt casinos. Its ’80s theme, re-spin, and free spin features have all brought in a huge crowd of players from Canada and elsewhere.
On the way is yet another title that is set to be a major hit in Canada. Based on the original 1995 film, Jumanji has already piqued the interest of players. It is also set to catch the eye of players who enjoyed the 2017 movie. Jumanji is expected to hit NetEnt casinos in Canada on June 21, 2018.
We have long enjoyed NetEnt’s games. Now, Canadians can look forward to a new approach which aims to increase the popularity of NetEnt. Hopefully, this means even more, even better games on the horizon.
