New Online Casino Innovation Panel Formed
Just to hear industry stakeholders recognizing the need for collaborative innovation and coming together to attempt it is a very welcome development for anyone who loves online casino action.
Canadian online casinos rightfully hold the developers and casinos offering them games to a high standard. As the innovative edge in online gaming moves ever forward, the need to constantly create new and more exciting games and experiences.
To that end, several stakeholders in the online casino industry have come together to form an advisory panel known as the Innovation Adoption Advisory Panel (IAAP), dedicated solely to innovating new online casino products for the global player community. It will work alongside the usual industry conferences and events currently in existence such as ICE:
Moving Online Casino Into the Future
In a statement, the IAAP said its purpose is “to further spur continued innovation in casino gaming product development and commercialization.”
The timing of this organization couldn’t be more perfect, as the online casino industry is experiencing a lot of flux and disruption right now. The factors involved include the increasing number of players on mobile devices, new technological capabilities in terms of graphics and sounds, and adapting gameplay to more closely mimic that found on popular non-casino games such as Candy Crush, just to name a few.
In addition, the shifting demographics of gaming are opening up traditional marketing channels to disruption as well, increasing the need for new ways to reach both current and potential players in today’s environment.
Given all these developments, the formation of the IAAP couldn’t have come at a more opportune time.
An Ambitious Program
And the IAAP, at least initially, appears to be up to the challenge. In a recent statement, it laid out a focus that appears to be ambitious enough to cover many if not all of the issues currently being debated by insiders:
“Industry topics being considered include many disciplines that impact the casino gaming floor including floor optimization, player marketing, game development, demographic-based guest engagement, and casino gaming floor utilization and analysis.”
It remains to be seen what, if anything, will come from this new initiative. But regardless, just to hear industry stakeholders recognizing the need for collaborative innovation and coming together to attempt it is a very welcome development for anyone who loves online casino action.
