Quickspin & Interwetten Announce Content Sharing Agreement
Interwetten executives have found that players are increasingly demanding that all their action be in a single place.
Quickspin, one of the world’s leading developers of online casino games, has signed a new agreement with leading German sportsbook Interwetten, the company said in a statement to its corporate website.
The deal will see Quickspin make its full content library available to Interwetten. That includes all of Quickspin’s leading slots and progressives such as Treasure Island, Jewel Blast, and new slot Mighty Arthur.
In a statement, Quickspin CEO Daniel Lindberg highlighted the appeal of German speaking countries to a company that to date has been mostly focused on the Canadian and European markets.
“We’ve always viewed Interwetten as the gateway to the Germanic-speaking countries, so to sign this deal for their players to now access all our slots is very pleasing,” he said. “Their history and track record in second to none in these territories, so we’re naturally thrilled to be joining forces with them.”
Players Demand Slots & Progressives
At first glance, the decision for a sportsbook like Interwetten to worry about slots and progressives might seem a bit odd. Although sports betting and casino games are closely linked, the level of detail required to create awesome player experiences means many operators still tend to focus one or the other.
However, Interwetten executives have found that players are increasingly demanding that all their action be in a single place. Simply put, failing to offer the best online slots and progressives was no longer good enough. For that reason, the company decided to take action and add Quickspin’s content library.
“The demand for superior slots has grown exponentially of late, and we’ve been looking to boost our offering in this space,” said Interwetten’s Speaker of the Board, Werner Becher. “Choosing Quickspin to provide their suite of games seemed a shoo-in for us, with their reputation for quantity without sacrificing quality firmly established in the industry.”
The integration is expected to happen immediately, with players having access to the new games within the coming weeks.
