Went For a Walk, Won $1.6 Million Jackpot
Ron wants to buy a new car while Bonnie expressed the desire to do some traveling.
Experts around the world claim walking is beneficial to one’s health, but it seems it can also do good when it comes to finances.
Just as Ron Brocklehurst, a resident of St. John, Newfoundland and Labrador, whose walk around Quidi Vidi Lake was definitely worthwhile.
A Walk That Changed His Life
After he spent some time enjoying a nice stroll around the lake located at the east end of the city, Ron made a few stops on his way home. He bought a pair of sneakers at Stavanger Drive and a Lotto 6/49 ticket at Marie’s Mini Mart, without suspecting that the latter visit would change his life.
The next morning, he checked the ticket and realized he was the lucky winner. According to his own words, he couldn’t believe it and rushed to share the fantastic news with his wife.
She said she hadn’t believed him at first, but after they had checked the ticket once again, there couldn’t have been any doubt.
Plans For the Future
Ron collected his winnings from the Atlantic Lottery Corporation on Wednesday, revealing the modest plans he and his wife had with the money.
The couple wants to make their children’s lives a bit happier, while Bonnie expressed the desire to do some traveling. On the other hand, Ron has only one desire at this moment – to buy a new car, since his current one is in poor condition.
There’s no doubt that hitting a lotto Jackpot can change your life. But, if you really think Lady Luck is by your side, you should definitely try visiting an online casino. Just last month, a woman played a wager of little over a $1 and went home as a millionaire.
