Yggdrasil Reports Huge H1 & Q2
All of these developments are being considered as harbingers of big things to come in the future.
The online casino company posted a 103% increase in revenues in Q2, the first time that it made more than $6m:
“It has been another strong quarter for Yggdrasil, and I am thrilled to report further impressive growth as we continue to reap the benefits of our long-term strategy,” Yggdrasil CEO Fredrik Elmqvist said in a statement on the company’s website.
EGR B2B Award Winner
In addition to the revenue, Yggdrasil also reported a number of moves designed to increase its long-term potential in the market.
For starters, it signed an agreement with industry leader Betfred, released several new games, and was nominated for several awards. The most prominent of these being its win at the EGR B2B Awards for “Slot Provider of the Year,” widely considered to be one of the most highly contested awards in the whole industry:
In June, we were honoured to win the prestigious ‘Slot Provider of the Year’ award for the second year in a row at the EGR B2B Awards in London,” Elmqvist said, “this unprecedented achievement highlights just how well respected we are within the industry. It also shows how far we have come in a short space of time, triumphing in this category over several much larger companies.”
Building a Company for the Future
All of these developments are being considered as harbingers of big things to come in the future. Yggdrasil has long been considered an online casino company that manages to punch above its weight and take on some of the larger, and more well established, brands in the industry.
But with these recent results it has become clear that this is now a company that has no intention of slowing down and will only continue to grow as a force to be reckoned with in the future:
“The first six months of the year have exceeded expectations but we will once again aim to raise the bar for the remainder of 2017 and beyond, with new games and features on the horizon,” Elmqvist said.
