LeoVegas sees almost immediate upside to acquisition spree
Rise in popularity and revenues for LeoVegas, who recently acquired Royal Panda and Intellectual Property & Software Ltd.
LeoVegas went on somewhat of an acquisition spree at the end of 2017. Much to the delight of their faithful players in Canada, LeoVegas enhanced their offerings. The acquisitions of Royal Panda and Intellectual Property & Software Limited enhanced LeoVegas’ presence. Players in Canada are already enjoying Royal Panda.
Thanks to their acquisitions, LeoVegas’ Q4 revenues were boosted substantially. This has led to an incredible rise in popularity for the brand.
LeoVegas Already Reaping Rewards of Acquisition Spree
LeoVegas made many acquisitions towards the end of 2017. These purchases have already boosted the Group’s revenue. In the three months ending December 31, LeoVegas’ revenue rose to $104.6 million. This showed a rise of nearly two-thirds.
Earnings fell by 39 percent and operating profit fell by 78 percent. However, this was a one-off drop due to the acquisition of Royal Panda.
LeoVegas Enlist Mats Sundin and Launch Free-play Site
LeoVegas is one of the most popular online casinos in Canada. It offers Canadians a huge range of games from many top providers. Powered by Microgaming, Yggdrasil, NetEnt, Scientific Games, and many more, these games have led players in Canada to love LeoVegas.
It’s not just Canada where LeoVegas is popular either, being among the top online casinos in many European countries.
A more recent move which will continue to improve LeoVegas’ holding is the release of their free-to-play site. LeoVegas.net allows fans in Canada to play casino games for free.
For further appeal, LeoVegas has partnered with Mats Sundin. Sundin, who played for three NHL teams in Canada, says that he’s proud to represent LeoVegas. The legendary centre stated: “My ties to Canada and passion for hockey will be a strength for LeoVegas’ venture”2.
The free-to-play site and recruiting Mats Sundin continues LeoVegas’ plans for growth.
Plans to Improve Presence In All Countries
The former centre for the Quebec Nordiques, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Vancouver Canucks will greatly help LeoVegas’ appeal in Canada.
Part of LeoVegas’ acquisition spree was the signing of Intellectual Property & Software Limited3. Acquiring IPS and related assets was a move to enhance their standing with the UK player base. To follow the same route in Canada, LeoVegas has started with the free site promoted by Mats Sundin.
There’s a good chance that, to continue their growth, LeoVegas will acquire a company based in Canada. For now, though, the LeoVegas and Royal Panda online casinos have been a hit in Canada. Now, their free-play site looks set to improve brand presence in Canada greatly.
