Monopoly Live Awarded EGR Game of the Year For 2019

It’s a prestigious awards ceremony celebrating all things in the iGaming industry. This year, the EGR Operator Awards were held in Grosvenor House in London. As always, the award which every operator wanted to win was the hotly-contested EGR Game of the Year title.

Max Quest from Betsoft, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire from Big Time Gaming, Ecuador Gold from Elk Gaming, Dead or Alive 2 from NetEnt, Sky Queen from Playtech, and Pirates’ Plenty from Red Tiger were all nominated for the title.

However, the award eventually went to Monopoly Live from Evolution Gaming. It’s the second successive year which Evolution has won the prestigious award after picking up the win with Lightning Roulette in 2018.

Monopoly Live is a live casino title based on the popular board game. It boasts augmented 3D graphics and everything a player would expect from Hasbro’s marquee board game. It’s proved a big hit with players who enjoy the incorporation of Evolution’s Dream Catcher money wheel.

One Of The World’s Best-Loved Brands

For the people at Evolution Gaming, it was always an enjoyable experience.

“We are honoured to win this award for Monopoly Live and it has been a true pleasure to work with one of the world’s best-loved brands to create such a unique game,” said Todd Haushalter, who is Chief Product Officer at Evolution Gaming.

“Winning back-to-back EGR Game of the Year awards is something we never dreamed of. We make games we think players will love and that we want to play ourselves and that is always our focus.

“However, to be once again honoured by our peers in the industry with this award is so very special and something that motivates us all for 2020 and beyond. A huge thank you to everyone at Evolution that made this a reality.”

Evolution Gaming is starting to build its own monopoly of the EGR Operator Awards. Winning Game of the Year twice in a row is an impressive achievement and it is well deserved given the success of both Lightning Roulette and Monopoly Live! What will Evolution Gaming do in 2020?
