Playtech Partners With BetBuddy

Playtech, one of the world’s leading developers of online casino technologies, has signed an agreement with gaming data services company BetBuddy, the company said in a statement. The agreement comes on the heels of increasing pressure for online casinos to integrate the cutting edge analytics that are now a mainstay in many other industries.
BetBuddy is specifically known for its expertise in creating behavioral identification software. Playtech plans to implement this technology in order to increase player protection by doing more to identify problem gamblers.

An Increased Sense of Responsibility
Playtech’s decision to place more emphasis on player protections comes on the heels of UK regulators placing increased scrutiny on how the industry handles problem gamblers. 888 recently found itself in hot water after failing in its duty to protect players who are vulnerable. BetBuddy’s Reputation Grows
For its part, BetBuddy is quickly becoming one of the go-to software providers for an online casino industry currently in flux. The company already counts big players in Canada and abroad — such as the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and IGT — as customers.
However, there’s no doubt that adding an industry stalwart like Playtech is a boon, and will only service to increase its presence and influence in the industry moving forward.
