Yggdrasil Arrives in Italy, Sets Ambitious Goals
Yggdrasil Gaming has officially entered the Italian market last week after the integration process with Gioco Digitale was successfully completed.
With this move, the Malta-based provider of high quality online and mobile games will be present on the second largest market in Europe, which offers a lot of opportunities, especially for a company with the reputation such as Yggdrasil’s.
Starting 11 Looking Impressive
A total of 11 video slot games received the Italian license and would be available via Gioco Digitale, a brand owned by GVC Holding, one of the industry’s biggest names.
The list of available titles includes some of Yggdrasil’s most popular releases, such as Vikings Go Wild, Nirvana and Dark Joker Rizes.
But this is not all, when it comes to companies plans for Italy, since Bwin.it, another GVC Holdings-owned brand will soon go live with its own offer of Yggdrasil’s games.
An Exhibition in Rome
In order to celebrate the successful start of their Italian operations, Yggdrasil Gaming organized an exhibition, which was held in Rome on May 25. This was an excellent opportunity for the company to showcase Vikings Go Berzerk, of the company’s flagship slot games.
This highly conceptual slot game will arrive on Italian market later this year, and it is expected it would be well received among the players on this competitive market.
According to Frederic Elmqvist, Yggdrasil Gaming Chief Executive Officer, the reason to hold such an exhibition was to show the range of the company’s offer.
He said the exhibition was a great opportunity to demonstrate the latest in-game promotional tools that would make a difference in the market, after appropriate changes in legislation were implemented.
Elmqvist stated he was convinced the new games would further vitalize the Italian market and help the company achieve a significant growth.
